FOODS THAT HEAL:-


Apple

Indian Name: Seb or Sev

Apple is  highly nutritive food. It contains minerals and vitamins in abundance. Apples, being rich in iron, arsenic and phosphorus, are highly beneficial in the treatment of anaemia. 
Apple are beneficial in the treatment of both constipation and diarrhoea. cooked or baked apples are good for diarrhoea. 
Headache :-
Apple are highly beneficial in the treatment of all types of headache. A ripe apple, after removing the upper rind and the inner hard portion should be taken with a little salt every morning on empty stomach in such cases. This should be continued for about a week.

Heart Disease:-
Apples are of special value to heart patients. Apple with honey is considered a very effective remedy for functional disorders of heart. 

High Blood Pressure:-
Apples are considered invaluable in the cases of high blood pressure.

Dry Cough:-
Sweet apples are valuable in dry hacking cough. 

Eye Disorders:-
The apple peel water is an excellent medicine for the inflamed eyes.

Dental Disorders;-
Tooth-decay can be prevented by regular consumption of apples as they posses a mouth cleansing property. 

Promotes Vigour and Vitality:-
It tones up the body and the brain as it contains more phosphorus and iron than
any other fruit or vegetable. Its regular consumption with milk promotes health and youthfulness and helps build healthy and bright skin. 


Apricot

Indian Names:- Khubani, Zardalu

Constipation:-
The fruit is highly valued as a gentle laxative and is beneficial in the treatment of constipation. Patients suffering from chronic constipation can greatly benefit by regular use of apricots. Generally six to eight apricots used per day will produce the desired result.


Fevers:-
Fresh juice of apricots, mixed with glucose or honey, is a very cooling drink during fevers.

Apricot is used as a dessert fruit, in making  jam, marmalades and preserves.


Avocade

Indian Names:- Kulu Naspati 
The avocado is a large fleshy pear-shaped berry.
Bad Breath:-
The Avocade is far superior to any mouth lotion or remedies for bad breath.

Precaution:-
If they have to be kept for a short time, they should be stored at room temperature and not in a refrigerator.


Almond

Indian Name:- Badam

Description:-
The almond, known as the king of nuts, is a highly nutritious food. It is an effective health-building food, both for the body and mind, and a valuable food remedy for several common ailments. Thin-skinned, known as kagzi in vernacular, is the best for use.

Food Value:-
The best way of using almonds is to soak them in water and grind them into fine paste of the blanched almonds i.e., after peeling of the skin. This paste is called almond butter.
